Profile Drilling Services Ltd was founded in July 2003 by Nick Davies and Phil Clayton.  Nick Davies has over 20 years experience in the construction industry including 7 years as Operations Director for one of the largest independent directional drilling companies in the UK.  During that time he was responsible for managing a fleet of 11 drilling rigs.

We are very much a family business, Tina Davies is our Company Secretary, Graham Davies who is Nick’s brother was originally employed as the Operations Manager but in September 2006 purchased Mr Claytons shares making us a truly family owned business.  Nick and Graham’s brother Richard is our Senior Drill Operative.

We currently run 2 directional drilling rigs, a Vermeer 24/40 and a Straightline 2062 and are expecting to expand our fleet in the near future.

With Nick’s experience in the industry we were able to secure high profile contracts from the beginning, indeed our first contract was for RMG, a joint venture between AMEC and McAlpine where we completed the first stage of the A1M crossings.
